How The AstroTrac Works

The AstroTrac TT320X-AG is a precision equatorial mount which can carry a suprisingly large load for its size. You'll find it very quick to setup and also easy to use so you can spend the maximum time imaging.

How Does it Track the Sky?

It may help to imagine the drive arms like a large pair of scissors. The bottom arm is fixed to the tripod, and the top arm rotates on precision bearings, carrying your equipment with it.

The precision drive mechanism consists of a motor driven screw which drives the arms apart.
